Debbie wanted to return to full employment after being made redundant. After two years job searching, she had given up hope of finding a job that she would be happy in and at the time of our meeting she was volunteering to keep herself motivated. She needed help with focusing her job search as her efforts prior to our meeting was not working for her.
We discussed Debbie’s areas of interest and transferable skills, then identified roles within the Healthcare sector that she was interested in. After an initial review, we completed an Action Plan to help her with focusing her efforts to produce the results she wanted. The next step included a revision of her CV which was targeted to the roles of choice and interview preparation to build her confidence.
Her applications resulted in interviews for a Healthcare Administrator role. I supported her in preparing for a two-phase interview which resulted in her being offered the job. After two years being unemployed this was the result that Debbie wanted.
